Major Slip Repair – hillside Nelson

After a major weather event, this home was struck by a significant landslide from above. While the damage was extensive, the house was ultimately deemed safe and salvageable with the right expertise, and that’s where Forme Build came in. What followed was no small task. The entire two-story home was carefully lifted to allow for the replacement of foundations, the entire ground floor and the stabilisation of the surrounding land, ensuring the long-term safety of both the structure and the site.

Working on a steep hillside with extremely limited access demanded some clever, creative problem-solving. From craning a digger into position to navigating tight constraints without compromising quality or safety, this project truly pushed the boundaries of what’s possible on challenging terrain. A huge undertaking by any measure, and one we’re incredibly proud of  - most importantly because it allowed our clients to keep their much-loved family home. And honestly, with views like that, who wouldn’t want to stay?
